In May 2023, RMFC were delighted to announce we were awarded the Football Association of Ireland (FAI) Club Mark One Star Player Development Centre Award. Following on from our achievement on being awarded the FAI Club Mark last September we began its journey to progress its application for the One Star Award.
It means that the club is now recognised as an official Player Development Centre in line with the FAI Player Development Plan.
Only one other club in the Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown area has attained this status!. This will open doors for the club in terms of resources being allocated by the FAI to the club for player development programmes and other opportunities for the club which will benefit our players and coaches enormously.
This could not have been achieved without the ongoing commitment and support of our committee, wonderful coaches, players and parents.
In September 2022, we were delighted to announce that Rosemount Mulvey Football Club (RMFC) had been awarded the FAI Club Mark. Huge work was been done at the club to achieve this. A special acknowlegment to Muireann Cody (Children's Officer) for the time and effort she put in to secure this award for our Club.
We held a Clubmark presentation and celebrations at the Clubhouse on Saturday, 6 October 2022. We were very proud to see our Chairman Patsy Melia being presented with the FAI Club Mark by U21 manager Jim Crawford and FAI Development Officer Tommy Morgan. Also there to support us was Catherine Martin T.D. and Cllr Peter O'Brien.
Jim Crawford arrived a couple of hours early and jumped in to help out with the Academy. Some of our youngest players got some time with the man they will all be hoping to play for in a few years!
Many thanks to Alison Mulligan-Carroll (Club Photographer) for the amazing pictures.
